We work closely with money advisers to support their money advice service needs, including making appropriate referrals. We provide bespoke debt solutions for individuals and businesses including sequestration (bankruptcy), protected trust deeds, administration and liquidation.

We also offer consultancy on insolvency matters and provide a range of training programmes on issues such as insolvency and dealing with business debts.

How we work with advisers

Compliance led approach

From the start we will work closely with you to set up referral procedures in line with the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers (SNSIAP).

Each referral can be made through our secure referral hub ensuring complete compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.

Feedback

As part of our referral agreement, we will provide you with feedback on your referral, working with you and your client to achieve the best outcome and to enable you to monitor our service.

Named contact

We will give you a dedicated contact at Johnston Carmichael, should you need to contact us about your referral of if you would like to discuss a client's case.
