People and Culture Forum
Our People and Culture Forum (PCF) helps embed our values and culture throughout the whole firm, and generate ideas for positive change. The PCF is made up of members from a cross-section of our departments and locations, who act as representatives of our wider team to provide an ‘employee voice’ on key challenges and opportunities. This enables proactive input from all our people to develop and improve initiatives and strategies, ensuring Johnston Carmichael is the best possible place to work.
The PCF incorporates a number of sub-groups focusing on Wellbeing, LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, and Diversity, to make sure important issues receive the attention they need.

Mindful Business Charter
As a firm, we are committed to nurturing and maintaining the health and wellbeing of our people, alongside providing excellent client service as effectively as possible, As part of this commitment, we are signatories to the Mindful Business Charter, which is a set of best practice, behavioural principles to tackle and reduce avoidable stress in the workplace.
The principles govern both the way that organisations operate internally, and also the way in which organisations interact with external parties. We know that when people are stressed, they work less effectively, and they risk damage to their health. The MBC is designed to promote more effective, less stressful and healthier work environments, allowing people to perform at their best and deliver optimum client service.
