David leads the firm’s Specialist Tax teams, which include Innovations Taxes, Entrepreneurial Taxes, International Tax, Global Mobility, Construction & Property Incentives and Employer Services.

David is a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax and a member of the Tax Board of ICAS. He is also a qualified lawyer, having spent a decade working as a tax lawyer for one of the largest global law firms, spending his time in London and Singapore.

David’s experience covers a wide variety of industries including life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, finance, transport, energy (oil and gas and renewables), insurance (life and general) and food & drink.  David is based in Johnston Carmichael's Edinburgh office but works across our 14 UK locations.
