We’re committed to contributing to and supporting the many communities in which we live and work throughout Scotland.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy comprises three elements; Community, Workplace and Environment.

Giving back

Every year, each of Johnston Carmichael's offices support their own nominated local charity, in addition to firm wide fund-raising initiatives, and we are continuing our sponsorship and support of the KiltWalk which raises funds for an array of vital causes across Scotland.

But, at Johnston Carmichael, CSR is about more than raising funds for charity.

To us, it means everything from socialising with colleagues, getting involved with community groups to telling young people about career opportunities, being aware of our impact on the environment, or giving up some of our free time to help others.

JC Impact Fund

The JC Impact Fund is our firm‑wide commitment to supporting the causes that matter most to our people. By offering a financial boost to colleagues championing charities, community projects, or youth initiatives, the fund helps turn individual passion into meaningful local impact. Since launching in 2025, it has enabled teams across the UK to make a difference in ways that reflect the compassion, creativity and community spirit at the heart of Johnston Carmichael.

Mindful Business Charter

As a firm, we are committed to nurturing and maintaining the health and wellbeing of our people, alongside providing excellent client service as effectively as possible. As part of this commitment, we are signatories to the Mindful Business Charter.

People and Culture Forum
