At Johnston Carmichael, we believe that meaningful impact begins close to home, in the communities where we live and work, alongside the people we care most about.

That’s why we created the JC Impact Fund.

What is the JC Impact Fund?

The JC Impact Fund is our way of empowering colleagues to support the causes that matter most to them. Whether someone is raising money for a charity close to their heart, volunteering with a local community initiative, or helping create opportunities for young people, the fund offers a financial boost to help them pursue their goal and make a meaningful difference.

Since launching in 2025, the JC Impact Fund has supported a range of inspiring initiatives led by our colleagues across the UK. Anyone in the team can apply but, to be successful, applications must reflect the compassion, creativity and community spirit that make our firm what it is.

By supporting our colleagues, we want to create a positive ripple effect across the communities we live and work in.

Every application tells a unique story, but the aim is always the same: to help our people create meaningful, positive change within their communities.

Impact in action

In memory of our colleague and friend Gail Croll, Derek Souter took on a tandem skydive to raise money for Maggie’s Dundee, a charity providing vital cancer support services.

With his family cheering him on from the ground, Derek made the leap, raising more than £2,600 in the process.

The JC Impact Fund covered his entry costs and contributed to his fundraising efforts, helping Derek honour Gail’s memory and support a cause close to many hearts across our firm.

A brave challenge, an unforgettable moment, and a powerful reminder of what community can achieve.
