Our Tech Advisory Board

In 2021, we set out to assemble a ground-breaking Tech Advisory Board. The group, which includes six external advisers, incorporates seasoned entrepreneurs, business leaders and investors to advise on all aspects of the growth journey.

Working alongside our Technology & Life Sciences team, they boost our expertise with guidance and support on strategy and delivery, and, where appropriate, will directly connect group members with clients and contacts of the firm. A key ambition of the panel is encouraging homegrown businesses to expand internationally.

Our Tech Advisory Board is made up of:

• Colin Macdonald - a former producer on Grand Theft Auto franchise and a previous Channel 4 Games Commissioner.
• Les Gaw - a non-executive director and early stage adviser, who is also chairman of security business Pick Protection, and CEO of financial software firm Contigens.
• Elizabeth Pirrie - CEO of AccelerateHER and COO of Investing Women Angels.
• Rachel Jones - Founder of SnapDragon. She is also co-chair of the UK’s IPO Crime Group and an NED for Equity Gap.
• Alisdair Gunn - a founder at Turing Festival, Europe’s top cross-functional tech conference and is currently leading the development and growth of Glasgow’s tech and digital sector as part of the Glasgow City Innovation District.
• Brendan Waters - corporate finance advisor to tech businesses including Fan Duel, Dog Digital, Wilson Imports, and Sharktower. He is also founder of Cruachan Advisory.
