Based in Glasgow, Ryan joined Johnston Carmichael in March 2022 following two years as Finance Manager at a global insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting firm. Prior to this Ryan spent seven years at a Big 4 firm.

Ryan is an ICAS qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in overseeing audits for a range of organisations including FTSE listed companies, subsidiaries of US listed entities, and privately owned Groups. His expertise lies in conducting thorough examinations of financial records, internal controls, and risk management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Ryan’s current client base includes large privately owned groups with international operations, across a variety of industries and sectors including Transport, Professional Services and Technology & Life Sciences. He prioritises developing strong relationships with clients, working closely with them to understand their business operations, financial goals, and challenges.
