A Restructuring Director based in our Aberdeen office, Neil is a licensed insolvency practitioner with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (“ICAS”) and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”).

Neil has over 20 years’ experience and has worked for a number of accountancy firms in Aberdeen, including a Big 4 practice. He has significant experience of both contentious, creditor-led matters and consensual, debtor-led issues. He has worked on assignments in several business sectors, including financial services, oil & gas exploration and production, oilfield services, construction, property development, and food & drink.

Neil advises clients on a full range of restructuring and insolvency assignments, the corporate insolvencies of owner-managed businesses, members’ voluntary liquidations, personal insolvencies and larger more complex cross-border insolvency issues.  He builds strong relationships with stakeholders and has a willingness to “roll up his sleeves” to deliver quality advice when it matters most.

Neil has also worked in the Caribbean, dealing with multi-jurisdictional insolvency cases involving the United States of America, Argentina, and several other countries.
