Gillian joined Johnston Carmichael in July 2023 and is the Head of CASS & Safeguarding and CASS RI working with clients throughout the UK.

Gillian is a Chartered Accountant, CASS SME, a member of the ICAEW Financial Services Faculty CASS working group, a member of the ICAEW CASS 15 sub-working group, and a committee member of the Scottish CASS Forum.

Gillian has led finance and regulatory teams and has over 15 years’ experience working with FCA regulated firms. Gillian was Head of Business Consulting for a software provider specialising in CASS solutions, data management, financial controls, and regulatory reporting. Prior to joining Johnston Carmichael, Gillian was Head of Client Assets, responsible for CASS operational oversight and finance operations for a FinTech company.

Outside of work Gillian has a private pilot licence and can be found most weekends at her local flying club.
