Deborah joined Johnston Carmichael as an Audit Partner in 2026, bringing more than 20 years of audit experience, including a Big Four background. Deborah is a CA and has been an RI since 2020, Deborah has extensive experience across both IFRS and UK GAAP.

Throughout her career, Deborah has worked with businesses across a wide range of sectors, including energy, retail and manufacturing, as well as with both large corporate groups and smaller privately owned businesses. This breadth of experience gives Deborah a strong understanding of the different challenges businesses face and a practical, commercial approach to audit.

Deborah is passionate about Scottish business and enjoys working closely with companies, getting to know their businesses and helping them navigate both the challenges and opportunities that come with growth and change.

Outside of work, Deborah enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, walking, baking and listening to audiobooks.
