Carol is a Senior Restructuring Manager and licenced Insolvency Practitioner based in our Inverness office. Carol joined Johnston Carmichael in 2006 and worked in our Private Tax Client sector, specialising in Employment Taxes, before transferring full time to Restructuring in 2014.
Carol manages a broad range of insolvency cases including administrations, solvent liquidations, court liquidations and sequestrations. Carol’s role involves dealing with a huge variety of businesses and people, often in difficult circumstances. Carol also provides advice to clients on members’ voluntary liquidations, directors’ duties and restructuring options during challenging times.
Prior to joining Johnston Carmichael, Carol was an owner/manager of a forestry harvesting business which gives her insight into running an SME and all the highs and lows that entails.Carol is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and has particular skills in advising directors in both solvent and insolvent liquidations, dealing with employees facing redundancy in insolvent businesses and providing advice on personal debt solutions.
When the laptop is closed, Carol likes to wander about the Scottish Highlands on foot or by bike with her dog, Skerray; climbing remote hills, wild camping and, if its warm enough, swimming.
