Your first week
From the moment you join Johnston Carmichael, you can rest assured that you will be supported every step of the way.
Buddies
We want to do all we can to help you get settled into your new role comfortably and quickly. To assist with this, as well as your Line Manager, you will be assigned a Buddy from day one. They will be there to meet you at reception of your agreed office at 9am on your first day.
We've chosen our Buddies carefully based on their experiences and skill. Some may even have taken, or still be, on the same career path as yourself - something for you to ask!
Feel free to check-in with your Buddy at any time to answer any queries you may have in those first few days.
Your first day and onwards...
Once you join us at your nominated office (you can find more info on our offices below), you will spend the first few days settling into your role within your Business Line. Your Buddy, Line Manager and other colleagues will be there every step of the way and help get you set up with your laptop, desk facilities and much more.
Your Line Manager will explain details of our current hybrid working structure during the first few weeks.
We then wish to invite you to our Johnston Carmichael Welcome Event in Aberdeen at the Douglas Hotel on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 July.
This is two nights residential and we have taken care of everything, including the transport, hotel, and more importantly, the food!
This is an opportunity to get everyone together in one location to find out more about Johnston Carmichael, build knowledge on what your first few months and years may look like, and create some solid work relationships with fellow colleagues who are also just starting out on their career.
