Lesley joined Johnston Carmichael in 2011 under our graduate training programme. Upon qualifying in 2014, Lesley spent four months on secondment with PKF Gold Coast in Australia, gaining valuable insight into international auditing practices before returning to the Audit team in Edinburgh. During her time in Audit Lesley managed a large portfolio of clients across a range of sectors before progressing into an operations role. In 2018 she transitioned to our Finance team as Head of Finance and was subsequently promoted to Director in 2019. That same year, she was named as one of ICAS Top 100 Young CAs. Lesley was later appointed Chief Financial Officer before becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2024.

Lesley has made a significant impact within the firm and is a key participant in a number of internal Boards and Committees.

In her spare time Lesley enjoys spending time in the outdoors and embracing the natural curiosity of her young son!
