Jim joined Johnston Carmichael as a business advisory partner in October 2023 having had a career spanning small, medium, large and very large practices along with a spell in industry.

His sector experience is wide and varied although he has a keen interest in Manufacturing and Engineering businesses and sports organisations.

Jim is both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and brings a well-rounded perspective when advising clients.

Outside of the office, Jim is currently the Non-Executive Finance Director at Triathlon Scotland and enjoys the challenge of Swim, Bike and Run, regularly competing in events across each discipline, as well  as occasionally joining them together at the same event.
