The achievements of two Johnston Carmichael rising talents have been recognised in the 2026 ICAS CA Rising Stars list , a programme highlighting the 35 leading Chartered Accountants worldwide aged 35 and under.

Cen Pang, Tax Senior Manager, and Louise Mair, Audit Director, have both been named on the list which shines a light on young professionals not only excelling in their roles but also making a significant impact in the industry and wider community. Selection focuses on four categories - Ethical Leaders, Innovators in Technology, Changemakers and Community and Social Value.

Lynne Walker, Johnston Carmichael Chief Executive said: “As our industry continues to evolve, with rapid technological change, shifting regulatory expectations and a stronger focus on responsible leadership, the need for forward‑thinking, values‑driven professionals has never been greater.

Being recognised as a Rising Star is testament to the integrity and ambition Cen and Louise bring to their work. For Johnston Carmichael, it also reflects our commitment to developing people who combine technical excellence with purpose, curiosity and a drive to make a meaningful difference.”

Cen Pang has been recognised in the Innovators in Technology category, which highlights Chartered Accountants driving technological change. Her nomination reflects her ability to combine technical expertise with commercial insight to deliver smarter, more efficient solutions.

Cen said: “Technology is reshaping our profession at an incredible pace, and it’s exciting to be working at the cutting edge of that development. I’m passionate about finding practical, meaningful ways to use new tools to support our clients and our people. Being recognised in the Innovators in Technology category is a real honour and reflects the collaborative work happening across our teams.”

Louise Mair has been recognised in the Changemakers category, which celebrates Chartered Accountants driving positive change. Her nomination reflects her commitment to fostering an inclusive culture, mentoring colleagues, and advocating for meaningful change across the organisation.

Louise said: “Supporting others and helping create opportunities for people at all stages of their careers is something I’ve always valued. I’m delighted to be recognised in the Changemakers category and grateful for the encouragement and support I’ve had along the way. Positive change happens when we work together, and I’m proud to contribute to that.”

One outstanding star, alongside the winners of each of the four categories, will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 4 June 2026 at the OXO Tower in London. Cen and Louise will attend the awards ceremony, with best wishes from everyone at Johnston Carmichael.
