Johnston Carmichael acted for Les Hutchison in his acquisition of John Boyle’s majority shareholding in Motherwell FC.

The team performed financial due diligence and subsequently assisted in the preparation of a new business plan for Motherwell FC.

Les Hutchison’s aim is to re-invigorate the club, ensuring that it engages fully with the local community and maximises all available income streams. The implementation of the new business plan will ensure that the club is put on a sustainable financial footing such that it is capable of being handed over to the supporter ownership vehicle The Well Society within a five year timescale.
