Johnston Carmichael provided financial advisory services to Hub North Scotland on its GBP 47m South of the City school project.
The Hub North Scotland South of the City School project has recently reached financial close on its £47m South of the City Academy project, with the team at Johnston Carmichael providing financial advisory on behalf of the Hub. The project involves the construction of a new secondary school to replace the existing Kincorth Academy and Torry Academy in Aberdeen. The Hub development consortium procured it on behalf of Aberdeen City Council. On completion, due mid-June 2018, the three-story school will have capacity for up to 1,350 pupils from the Torry, Kincorth, Nigg and Cove areas of Aberdeen. The 25-year project also includes the provision of sports facilities, a six-lane swimming pool, a garden and a sports pitch.
This is another great project for hub North Scotland Limited and demonstrates the continuing benefit the hub initiative brings in delivery social infrastructure in Scotland. We are very grateful for the generous advice and guidance received from our professional advisors and would like to thank Mark and his team at Johnston Carmichael in delivering a first class financial advisory service and helping get this project to financial close.
