Disposal of Romar International Ltd

The Johnston Carmichael Corporate Finance team provided lead advisory and overall project management services to the shareholders of Romar International Limited with regards to the disposal to Energy Ventures, an independent energy focused private equity firm and Front Row Energy Partners, a specialist energy investor.
Romar International Limited is a Scottish based company that specialises in the provision of innovative, cost-effective technologies associated with magnetic separation, decontamination of drilling fluids and spill prevention and containment.
Consideration was undisclosed with the shareholders of Romar also retaining a minority shareholding in a new company formed specifically to facilitate the acquisition.
Johnston Carmichael initiated the transaction and provided ongoing support and advice through initial marketing, negotiating with interested parties and execution of the transaction with the preferred bidder. In addition specific tax advice was also provided to the Romar and Energy Ventures throughout the transaction.
The shareholders of Romar International Limited are extremely grateful for the services provided by the corporate finance team at Johnston Carmichael during the disposal process.
